A KNOW HOW

an environment

With a fabulous heritage stretching over 3 centuries, the Chateau Tour Saint Pierre was built in the 18th century in the classic architectural style, and has evolved over time.

Previously owned by the former mayor of Saint-Émilion, Jacques Goudineau, It then passed into the hands of a overseas consortium for 5 years, after which period the Château returned to French hands in August 2022 and began reviving its prestigious history by dedicating the estate to wine-growing excellence.

This is the story of a whole team orchestrated by David Caillaud, operations director at Château Tour Saint Pierre.

Together, they put their talent at the service of an innovative approach, in order to respect the vine, the workers and the environment to produce exceptional wines, reflecting their terroir. Certified Level 3 High Environmental Value, this Saint Emilion Grand Cru turns towards the future with serenity.

THE AMBITION IS TO COMBINE KNOW-HOW AND PASSION TO ELEVATE CHÂTEAU TOUR SAINT PIERRE TO THE RANK OF GRANDS CRUS OF EXCELLENCE.

THE SINGULARITY OF ITS TERROIR

Château Tour Saint Pierre is admirably located on the north-East slope of the commune of Saint Émilion. The 11.5 hectares that make up the vineyard are spread over a clay-siliceous plateau with some shades of limestone rock. This palette of terroirs – having made the reputation of the Grands Crus Classés of Saint-Émilion – benefits to the expression of our Grand Cru.

Its vineyard, which is planted by 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, is cultivated with care, without the use of herbicides or insecticides, and is harvested manually according to the tradition.

THIS RANGE OF TERROIRS – HAVING MADE THE REPUTATION OF THE GRANDS CRUS CLASSÉS OF SAINT-ÉMILION – SERVES THE EXPRESSION OF OUR GRAND CRU.

EXCEPTIONAL KNOW-HOW

The most attentive care has always been taken in the vinification of the harvests, which has enabled it to obtain great notoriety among many lovers of great wines.

The harvest is meticulously done by hand to preserve the integrity of the fruit before being destemmed, then we carefully select the berries which will then be crushed and vatted.

Our cellar, made up of a series of temperature-controlled concrete and stainless steel vats, allows precise vinification that is completely adapted to each plot.

All our wines, before being filtered and bottled at the Château, are kept according to ancestral methods over a period of 2 years.

They are also aged in 225-litre French oak barrels rigorously selected from the best coopers. Their medium toast allows for a marked woodiness, without opulence, with beautiful silky tannins. A few barrels of 350 and 400 liters complete the work to bring a more subtle aging and a more complex aromatic to our Grand Cru.

All these choices are made in order to produce nothing short of excellence, with the greatest respect for the terroir.

Château Tour Saint Pierre is run by a team of passionate professionals who combine their skills in order to obtain the best expression of the Saint Emilion terroir. We are continually improving our know-how while respecting the plant and people.
